(From Left to Right) Puerto Rico NYI West Youth WeekendDuring March 16 - 17 Puerto Rico NYI West District Celebrated their Convention. With us celebrating and training at the Convention was our Global President and Caribbean NYI Regional Coordinator Rev. Monte Cyr. It was a wonderful time where we learned what the NYI truly is. Rev. Cyr taught on Friday March 16 about the NYI Charter where he explained the vision, mission, and the values of the NYI. The musical group K-rrusel, from one of our local churches, was in charge of the Praise and Worship. Total attendance was over 250 people! On Saturday March 17, the NYI had their Convention where Rev. Cyr taught about the youth leader, their integrity and their relationship with their youth group. It was a wonderful time where we were able to learn many things that could strengthen our NYI's. We also received wonderful blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ. We are very thankful for all who were and are praying for our district and country. During the convention the Timothy trophy was given to an outstanding young person from each church of our district. We would also like to add that Mrs. Blanca Huertas will continue as NYI President alongside the NYI district council which is formed up by Janice Campos (Vice-president), Noel Roman (Treasurer), Solymar Santana (Secretary), zone Presidents: Zurielys Narvaez (south), Giselle Santana (North), and Veronica Morales (west).
