Lydia Kim had been serving as the treasurer of the Philippine and Micronesia Field for 11 years from June 2002 to May 2013 and as the temporal accountant of Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary for 7 months from October 2013 to April 2014. And she is currently serving as the temporal treasurer of the Philippine and Micronesia Field.

Timothy Kim received a B. Th. from Canadian Nazarene College in Canada in 1984 after completing the four year diploma course from Korea Nazarene Theological College (now, Korea Nazarene University) in South Korea. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in 1991 and a B. A. in theology from APNTS in 1993.

Lydia Kim had attended at Korea Correspondence University in South Korea for four years while working at the general management office of a company in Seoul before she married to Timothy.

Their call to missions came through much prayer. Especially Timothy got clear mission call from God to the Philippines when he had 21 days' fasting prayer seeking God's direction for the future in October of 1987. God also enabled him to do 40 days' fasting prayer from May 05 to June 13, 1993 at the Touch of Glory Prayer Mountain in the Philippines for the better missionary services. Their ongoing vision is to mobilize the whole Church of the Nazarene in the Philippines. They long to see the Philippines evangelize and contribute greatly to the world mission.

Since May 2014, they have been asked by the Field to move to the Federated States of Micronesia but the plan has been delayed because Timothy has been experiencing sickness in his body one after the other.

The Kim's have three sons: InnGee who is serving the Korea Air Force as an interpreting officer, YongGee who is freshman of HanDong Global University in South Korea, and JinGee who is student of Faith Academy in the Philippines as Grade 11.

Going Where the Church is Not Yet

Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
